Valentines Day is coming up. It is important to check blood sugar levels.
- Too much chocolate can bad.
I love Chocolate Bobby I don't know if I could live without it. Bobby This conversation is turning academic fast .
My mother had Diabetes and high blood pressure She had some really low blood sugar counts and that was scary.
I felt like I was taking care of my parents. I had a lot of pills to take on my own and my mom had a lot of colored pills to take.
How did you keep all of that straight?
It wasn't easy to keep track of her pills, the little pill containers helped.
Its had when the responsibilities shift, they took care of you and then you were able do the same for them, its a circle that's not always round- kinda like a heart.

Cold weather and the Flu

"Cold weather is nice weather, except when the sidewalks get icy and fall down or when people get sick. Its not nice when people get sick. They give people flu shots to prevent them from getting the flu I got a flu shot not too long ago. People wear scarves when they have them."

Jen: "This filmmaker shoots some scenes that have very little dialogue; he wants us to observe the characters. Sounds like you, Jeff! You like to observe."
Jeff: "Like I was trying to walk like Dianne."
Jen: "Yeah, you like to observe and imitate."
Jeff: "Imitate."
Jen: "And you like to dance like Madonna, right?"
Jeff: "Uh huh. My favorite is Like A Prayer."

John did a little free jazz like- word association with his latest work

Today Bobbie and I are talking about seizures.

This morning she heard that a friend had just had a seizure.

She remembered that a few months ago she witnessed a seizure. "It was around one or two in the afternoon- turned around to look at a workmate, and she began convulsing. The aids rushed to assist her, and kept her from falling out of her chair. I noticed she just wasn't herself before the seizure"

John said that "people have seizures all the time- but me lucky - not me."

Lori said her roommate has seizures she said "I get nervous when it happens but I don't encounter them that often."

- Most people are familiar with seizures caused by epilepsy. A Grand Mal seizure —sometimes known as the tonic-colonic seizure occurs when charges of abnormal electrical activity in the brain-cause violent rapid muscle contractions, and the loss of consciousness.

Bobbie worked on a drawing what she thinks the of the brain looks like during a seizure.

Peter Pumpkin head is a big one now.

Haunted by thoughts of the animals who would mock his light blue European man bag, Peter Pumpkin head walks to work. His job at the Halloween Superstore has been slow lately- the occasional call for fake blood, plastic spiders, and rubber doggie doo. He dreams of a better life.

I Like My circles. - Yeah I do like my circles yeah. -Yeah I do like my circles. I like to draw them on everything. Just like Peggy likes to do her circles. The brown ones taste like coffee. What do the bright pink circles taste like? Next time I will mix them together.

The Butterfly Farm

The Cold weather has made us feel like we were trapped under ice. Our conversation shifted as well as our work to a wish for something else. "I like butterflies." John said- and they started appearing in his work today. "That's funny uh huh. I don't know how that happened."

John has created this shadowy creature here in the Media LAB.
The creation seems to have the power to magnetically draw things around the lab to itself.
I fear for my life!- or maybe just my loose change.
