Spoiler alert!
Here's a climactic scene from 'Heaven's Laundromat'. The robot hero has defeated the villains by crushing them into a cube with his bare robot hands. The cube shape is inspired by the borg from Star Trek.
Harold: Captain Picard is the best captain.
Jennifer: You might run into some arguments about that... Do you think he could win against the giant robot?
H: No, the robot has laser beam hands.

Walk the Dogs
Lori's image of the Chicago based Girl Punk Band Going to the Dogs shows them out walking dogs to make money for some instruments. The barking thing has gotten old, states Marcy we were inspired by those dogs barking Christmas carols CDs, after our show at the Cobra -now we need to learn how to play guitar and keyboards. Patti and Marcy practice what they preach by letting the dogs out. The pair are Vegan, devoted animal rights activists, who sing about keeping the fur on animals not humans.
Danny Loves Star Trek
Danny is a man of few words, this morning I discovered that he loves Star Trek.
He said that he likes Star Trek the Next Generation the best, but his favorite trait is the long Vulcan ears.
Score one point for old school Spock fans.

Little Miss Muffet
Good Charlotte's web
Lori loves the story Charlotte's Web, she has fond memories of reading the story as a child.
Lori's revised version of the children's story follows a group of young sports obsessed spiders, who as they grow up they turn into soccer balls. Who then bounce around here, there, and everywhere spinning webs and freaking people out.

Ghost image
The season of paranormal is in bloom at Little City. John was able to capture an image of the apparition of the ghostly girl. He states "She comes to me around this time of year. Last year I saw her at our Halloween party in the gym, she wanted to get outside of the gym and went right through the wall."

Happy Halloween!!!
tangled lines and letters
Bobbie finished this abstract piece today- We thought that some of her green lines reminded us of Arabic letters, so then she pasted in some Chinese characters as well. Bobbie was thinking about her old house and sharing some memories with Jennifer while she was making this.

Bobbie is thinking abut Halloween, she likes it. The spookier the better! She is trying to decide if she should get dressed up in costume up to go to Countryside. Bobbie goes to Countryside on Tuesday and Thursday where she works on Sloan valves. She is new to the Media lab and stretching out and feeling her way around the different programs we use here.
