Woman and Her Past
The woman who knows about her memories of long ago...
The woman lived in her house by herself. She helped her goat and man.

Pretty Woman with Winter Fur Hat
by JessellI was telling Jessell that this reminds me of Dr. Zhivago. I think it looks great.
"I drew the woman's face on paper; I made the face and fur hat on the computer. I added color on the computer. It was difficult."

Deaf Awareness Month

Jessell would like to share some of her art and also let people know that September is deaf awareness month. Her work is titled "The Love and Remembrance". The other image here is not her work, but an example of "visu-centric design" in the James Lee Sorenson Language Center in DC. You can go to http://www.sorensonvrs.com/aware to view videos featuring people talking about innovators in the deaf community and learn more about their histories. Each week has a featured video, including one about the contributions of deaf artists.
